After 50 years of honorable service the Hospital has been closed and will be assigned to host part of activities of the SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies of Trieste. To celebrate the event, the Santorio Association promoted an exhibition and published a book about the history of the building and his role in the medical system of Trieste.
